Enhancing the charm of our private property, you can experience a 150-year-old traditional Kerala wooden house, known as an Arayum Perayum.
Cruising into Vembanattu Kayal, Kerala’s largest lake, the horizon opens wide with shimmering waters. Watch fishermen casting their nets, flocks of birds gliding low, and the lake stretching endlessly around you.
We pause briefly at the lakeside fish shop, where guests can hop off and pick their choice of freshly caught fish. Our onboard Cook will turn it into a delicious meal just for you.
The houseboat anchors for lunch. As you dine, take in the scenes of Kerala's timeless countryside, with paddy fields shimmering in the sun, swaying coconut palms, and villagers going about their daily lives.
We drift slowly through quiet canals to Moonnaattin Mugham, a magical spot where two rivers converge into one. The meeting waters form gentle ripples, and the setting is perfect for stunning photographs and quiet reflection.
Cruising onwards, we arrive at the tranquil Meenapally Lake. Once vast paddy fields, the area was transformed into a lake to improve waterway connectivity between the two rivers. Today, it remains less explored and deeply peaceful, fringed with coconut groves and filled with the sounds of birds. As dusk settles, enjoy a stunning sunset view from our island while experiencing the thrill of a speedboat ride or a quiet shikara cruise.
Our final stop for the day is a secluded private island on Meenappilli Lake. Here, under a starlit sky, the houseboat gently rocks on the water. It’s a silent, serene night surrounded by nature; it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
As dawn breaks, the houseboat begins its return journey. Cool morning breezes, birdsong, and golden light on the water create a beautiful farewell scene. Enjoy a freshly served breakfast during the morning cruise as you glide back to the boarding point for disembarkation.
